hey i just put my computer together everything works but it says media faliure please check cable diskboot faliure, is that the cd/dvd-rom or hard drive i am sure i got the hard drive hooked up i changed the cable and tried again could it be cd/dvd rom

you didnt install windows? there should be an option saying HALT ON ALL BUT KEYBOARD you change it to the floppy

Yeah try disabling floopy (i think it says drive A) i was getting something similar untill i noticed it was trying to detect a floppy

no i have the cd in the dvd-rom

i think it is the second option where you can choose to set the cd drive as the first boot device.

Your mobo manual will say what to press to enter bios, mine is "Delete"

Then you can set your boot order and disable the floppy

i fixed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i took the ide sd drive cords from my 7 year old computer and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im on it right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my first computer i made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
