Hi just wondering, Can my Computer/Hardrive be hacked via my IP.
Had a spam email the other day saying my IP had been logged and i was on the hacking list.
I know it was crap so i just deleted it im not worried cos i use Norton firewall, windows defenders many more, My laptop itself is a zone alarm.
I have scanned and found no viruses,Trogens

But it left me with the question. Can my Computer/Hardrive be hacking if some1 logs/saves my IP address.. Can they get in and access my Documents/Media?

It's not the matter of someone knowing your IP address...
Anyone's computer can be hacked... but it takes great skill for someone to do so...
Don't worry about anything as long as you got your antivirus and anti-spyware working good. and you say you have a firewall....
just ignore the spam mails.

There is a piece of html code that can show your ip (because it just asks the browder to show it) and through your ip, it can be worked out roughly where you are. So generally it's a bunch of **** just scaming you or getting you to install there software (which will create problems most likely).

you shouldn't personally worry about this as you are proberly running broadband which usually has a dynamic ip which everything it changed when you reboot your modem or something like that. and you've got all the protection so your pretty safe (Y)
