Kaspersky Anti-Virus Problem

Hello

I found out about this new Anti Virus call Kaspersky. You can see it at Kaspersky.com. I downloaded the trail version and tried to use it. It nice and detects viruses I have on my computer. I love it. The problem is that When i open the program it lags my whole computer and sometimes freezes. I am running on a Pentium 4 2.6E 386 SD Ram. I would like to know if I have very little ram to run the program? Do I require more ram to have the program run in the background with no problems? Please someone help me out and answer this question. Thank you in advance.

What OS are you using and is this the first program you have run which slows down your computer?

If you have Win XP I would suggest nothing less than 512MB (even though Microsoft's min requirments are much less.. )

..On the Kaspersky website it says the min requirments are 300Mhz and 128MB Ram for Win XP .. I would still suggest more Ram in general, but I cant see that being the sole reason for your computers sluggishness.
