Kaspersky not compatible with Zone alarm?

I purchased Kaspersky's anti-virus 7.0 and tried to install it today. I got a error box stating "error 1304 error writing to file". Tried both the purchased CD and tried the downloaded trial version and neither would install. After investigating from Kaspersky the error code says that Kaspersky is not compatible with Zonealarm's firewall which I run. Can someone please recommend a free firewall that would be compatible with Kaspersky? Even disabling zone alarm the CD won't install. Thanks.
 
Well it's the only other decent free firewall, there might be others but ZoneAlarm and Comodo are the best 2.
 
ZoneAlarm will not create any compatible issues, no.
Except it will give you fake alarms on everything you don't allow.
I still suggest you Comodo firewall...
 
I installed Comodo, then tried to install Kaspersky and got a window stating to uninstall Comodo that it is not compatible with Kaspersky and would not let me install around the warning.
 
Hm...Listen! Kaspersky generally IS compatible with all programs...
Please tell me , if you are running unpaid, pirate copy of Kaspersky?
If not, just...I think Kaspersky is experiencing some problem. I'd get rid of it, I had problems with it too...
 
Nope, bought it at BB on sale for 2/3 off. That's why I got it in the first place. I also tried downloading the trial version from the Kaspersky web site and it told me to uninstall either Zonealarm or Comodo, I can't remember which one now.
