I've got Windows Vista x64-bit. I Run about 60-70 processors and I beliebe this could cause some considerable lag in my games.

If you guys got Vista 64 Bit or 32 bit, how many processors do you have running on average

42 on 32bit, What games are you talking about? You seem to have a pretty nice set up, my laptop isn't near there and it runs WIC COD4 and some others nicely. Maybe you have some spyware / other intrusions? I like AVG it seems to work good for keeping me clear.

Just my $.02

59 on 7 x64 (basically same as vista)

Like jgoff said, there should be no lag with that, that number of processes is normal. You sure that you have all drivers in right, by which I mean if you changed any hardware, did you delete old drivers first and are you up to date on all drivers?

When you are on task manager looking at processos, click CPU so it is in order of CPU usage and see if any are using too much. If it says 90% for example, that doesn't mean 90% of your CPU time is being used, it means of the percentage being used (shown at the bottom of the task manager screen) 90% of that time is being used on that application.

If nothing out of the ordinary shows up, click memory and see if any program(s) are using a considerable amoutn of memory

Even they shouldn't explain your bad fps in games because of your setup, that is provided you are on about the rig in your sig

What's your ISP? I find that a lot of my lag comes from people's lag, or even where the other people are connecting from. Furthermore, what's your PSU? You have a lot of good stuff listed, but if you bought a crappy PSU, you've opened yourself up to whole bunch of potential problems. Not necessarily lag, but potentially, if the pieces of your system are getting enough power.

P.S. Back on the distance issue, sometimes when I play with some people down in Grand Rapids, about 500 miles away, there is a little lag that I think is tied in with that. When I used to play with them when I was in Kalamazoo, about 75 miles away, there wasn't much lag at all - same computers.

I've got Rogers, As I am a Canuck beside Buffalo over beside the Niagra Falls. but then again, my computer is pre-built[bought from a store], and it's a gateway FX gaming series PSU. So im pretty sure they Added in a 400-500 PSU. But from all the threads about the computer model I have it says that gateway added in there own model of a mobo, and have a 500 W PSU.
