Keyboard and Mouse selection?

I need some help selecting a keyboard and mouse. The main purpose of my keyboard and mouse will be for gaming. I heard bluetooth wireless is the way to go for mouses, and as for keyboard RF or bluetooth and fine. But what I need are some suggestions of mouses and keyboards. Thank you for your time.
 
Logitech MX3100 KB/Mouse combo Laser/wireless. I haven't tried it yet, but read many reviews that said it was very good, and my brother is getting that combo.
 
i like the new logitech mice, the ones that are red, blue, and silver, the silver one has 1600dpi and i heard its great for gamers. I wouldnt go with a wireless for gaming though, i heard it lags.
 
I LOVE my logitech mx1000, although i dont love the shape, it can become uncomfortble after many hours of gaming, but that may just be, but if you compare the shape of the mx1000 to the shape of the.......i think the mx510? the 510 has a much rounder thumb slot, the mx1000 is sharper, which can be uncomfortable. you should try them out at the store, and play for six or more hours strait and see if its still comfortable, if not, return it and try another one.....also, the mx1000 is VERY precise, with a sniper rifle in cs:s it is possibly the best mouse you can get, i have never tryed the mx510 so i cant be shure though....
