Keyboard as a gift to my bf?

Hey guys!

Decided to ask for an advice. So my boyfriend's birthday is coming up and he's working with computers. I know that he really wants a new keyboard but the one which lights up in green He already has a mouse and wants a matching keyboard. I know it's a funny wish but let it be. So what keyboards you would suggest? He's not a gamer, but he types a loooot so it should be very comfortable.

Thank you !

My honest opinion is this; keyboards are kinda a personal preference kinda thing - it might be the type of gift that he either tells you a model to buy, or you guys shop together.

I own a Steelseries APEX M800 as well as a Razer Tournament x chroma but they are completely different and while I like them each for different reasons, they might be absolutely despised by someone else.

Just my 2 cents..

Yeah.. Well i understand. He mentioned that he would like to get a razer one. Maybe you could recommend a good model?

Does he want just green, or the capability to do patterns and solids with a full spectrum of colors, like the chroma keyboards?>

Also, what country are you in so we can show stuff in the proper currency/vendor?

He wanted green but I guess if black widow chrome colors can be adjusted it doesn't really matter. I'm actually from Europe :) price isn't important for me - I just want the best quality

Always the third choice :)

The Chroma RGB ones are cool cause you have a whole spectrum of colors, reactive keys, patterns, etc, bit more money but as you mentioned price isn't top concern.

I suck with Europe vendors and pricing though, as I'm in Canada so I'll let another member chime in that can direct you better!@!

The Chrome comes in 2 versions. Stealth and.. well, not stealth.
The stealth is a US layout exclusive, so if you are British you have 2 options.

The stealth uses Razers Orange mechanical switches and the standard uses Razer green mechanical switches
They feel very similar and have the same actuation force.
They main difference is that The Greens have a tactile clicking sound and the orange does not.
If you hate having to listening to him type (specially if he is a fast and hard typist) get the stealth.
Mechanical switches with a tactile click (Razer green, MX Green and MX Blue) are quite noisy.
You have been warned.
