Keyboard not working

I just started up my laptop that haven't used in a year now due to have no charger for it, but for some reason when I started typing the far right side of my keyboard doesn't work. The enter button backspace and function keys.
I did find some virus on it for some reason but I deleted the programs so think they should be gone.
The laptop is a sony vaio vgn-fz and is running windows vista.

Could be a damaged keyboard or perhaps the flexible data cable somehow partially slid out of the motherboard connector. Remove the keyboard and verify the cable is properly seated. If it is, get a new keyboard on ebay.
