Keyboard not working

I have a wireless keyboard, and it has worked fine until yesterday. I saw some ants crawl into the spaces in my keyboard but wasn't too fussed. After i restarted my computer, my keyboard stopped working. I restarted a few times, but it still doesn't work. I can see that the keyboard is still responding, as the LED flickers when i press a key, but nothing appears on the screen as if i hadn't typed anything. And the funny thing is, when i tried pressing some keys on startup, it worked fine. I pressed F8, and it went into the safe mode menu, so it still works.. sort of. I use my computer on a regular basis, and its urgent so I'm semi panicking. Help would be much appreciated. :)

Ants...Ok....Thats a first.

If you want to, open your keyboard. As if you are going to clean the keys, like look for screws on the back or something to clean it all out.

I did that for mine, after kool aid hit the whole keyboard, works fine now.

Good Luck.

I'm not sure if the ants have anything to do with it, but i thoght i'd put every detail i know so it'll make fixing it easier.

I'm not really an expert and don't trust myself to take my keyboard apart.

Do you have access to a can of compressed air? Spray in between the keys upside down, to get whatever, out of there.

Good Luck

he shouldnt have to take the batteries out or push the connect button if it works while posting pretty much allowing him to access the bios.

check to see if maybe u disabled something in the bios, such as the ps/2 slot for the keyboard

make sure the LED for the connect is open to it can make a good connection. If not , if it takes bettery make sure there new.

Thanks for all your help. But I couldn't fix it, so i bought a new keyboard. My hands were killing me from using the on screen keyboard --"
