hi,
i purchased MS-7058 915P from eBay.
i assembled all stuff into a case and started up but i couldn't use keyboard at all. after i pressed anything then some weird sound came from speaker, it's not like beep sound but some crakle sound.
when i pressed these num-, caps- and scrolllock buttons then only numlock got highlighted.
you might think that i have some kind of a dodgy keyboard but it can't be because it worked with a very old mo'bo 10min before the mo'bo change.
i cleared the CMOS, but it didn't give any better results either.
Disconnected all hardware except keyboard (VGA and memory were still connected) and even that didn't give any results :( keyboard didn't work

so what are your suggestions??

Is the keyboard USB or Parallel port ? For the USB to work you must have USB Legacy enabled in the Bios. Most of the time just to get up and running I use the adapter ( that is USB to parallel ) to get up and going.

I know that in the past I had problems using Dell keyboards on other machines. Do you have another Keyboard you can try?

i discovered that ViXta (version which doesn't need any installation on hdd) booted up well. USB mouse and sound worked and i even ethernet card got ip address aquired and so worked the GUI:)
That means it has to be in keyboard and i already ordered a new one from eBay :)
what do you think ?
