Keyboard problem

Hi, someone has a keyboard problem, however they are quite far away so I can't really look myself, she said her kid deleted her keyboard, I have tried asking her to try everything I can think of, check keyboards in change keyboards or other input methods, checking to see if it is device manager, which it is not, highlighting computer and asking it to scan for devices, which brings up nothing, it is a ps/2 keyboard if that helps, does anyone have any idea's I have not thought of?

Has she actually checked to make sure its plugged in? lol

ha ha, this did cross my mind, but no, actually tried 3 different ps/2 keyboards, think they are planning on getting a usb one which I am sure should alleviate the problem, I was wondering if maybe the driver disk for the motherboard would work, as it's clearly not the keyboard
