I work with a lot of texts that use foreign characters - Đ,đ,Ī,ī,Ē,ē,Ā,ā,Ō,ō,Æ,æ,ǽ,Þ, etc.
On the other hand, I never ever ever use my num pad.
I've tried several bits of software to reassign the numpad to alternative letters (sharpkeys, MSKLC, etc.) but they either don't allow me to reassign the num pad, or only allow me to assign existing keys to it, not special characters.
Can anyone suggest a programme that would allow me to do a complete reassignment of my keyboard? thanks.
Edit: yes, I have tried using Alt+####, it's just too inefficient and doesn't always work.
