Keyboard sometimes not working properly :(

This is actually for a friend but she is using a Turkish Toshiba Satellite L67014f with windows 7 and for smoe weird raeson the keyboard has some kind of lagging problems. Or sometimes wwhen you press the keybooard it does double letters, or not writting the letter at all. This problem started as being just some of the time, but for the last motnh the comptuer has been like this ALL the time! I dont know much about cmputer but I get the feeling that it is softwware related so hopefully can be easily fixed. Any suuggestions??
 
this sounds like one of two things. If the keyboard has had something sticky poured on it, it will stick, and output mulitple characters on the screen. You can check if this is the issue by hooking up an external keyboard and checking if it continues to happen. If it happens with an external keyboard as well, the processor is working too hard, causing the lag.
 
not necessarily either. Have her scan for maleware.
In my personal experience there have been 3 warning signs of a maleware attack on the computer. 1. High RAM usage, 2. Lagging components (keyboard, mouse, video/audio lineup) and 3. BSODs. Its worth a look.
