Keyboard washing?

Hello.

My keyboard is absolutely dirty and disgusting. I've searched the web on how to clean keyboards and a suggestion that I've read is to put the keyboard through the dishwasher. Specifically, put upside down on the dishwasher rack and let dry for a couple days. I have an HP standard keyboard. Any suggestions or advice?

get a cheap keyboard to use while its drying. that way you wont get TEMPTED
