Kingston 128gb USB very slow

Hi guys, this is my 1st post...
I bought a kingston 128gb usb 3.2 memory stick, but the transfer rate is 8mb/s, my other usb sticks and drives are fine, getting 100mb/s transfer.
I tried changing it's Filesystem to NTFS but no change. One other odd thing that happened when I first plugged it in, it kept opening internet explorer, popup after popup, I had to end the process. The stick is a kingston datatraveller exodia onyx.
I'm stumped into what to try here. It took me 5hours to put 40gb into it, so don't fancy losing it lol
Anyone know any ideas?

Reformat it and try again. If not, sounds like a failing drive.

wow, so that's right? 8mbs write speed? for usb 3.2? that's shocking. So I don't have faulty stick, it's just way it is? lol well won't buy kingston again. filled it with movies and gave to friend for his tv.
