Kingston HyperX: Opinions

Hi guys,

I was looking at upgrading to the RAM below. Computer use varies including standard office-type tasks, gaming (nothing particularly hardcore), and image editing and manipulation (Photoshop etc). Do you think this RAM would be a good investment?

Id go for 667Mhz memory instead of 800,.. the difference in performance is hardly noticable, and you could overclock the memory to 800MHz fairly easy yourself ( correct me if im wrong ;) ) and its much cheaper. :)

Thanks for the input Archangel :)

Do you think the CAS Latency will be ok? I looked at CL2 and 3 but they're a little out of my price range.

I'm in the UK, but cost is approximately the same as the Corsair sticks you listed above. Which would you say was the better option: Kingston HyperX or Corsair XMS2?

I cant really answer that tbh... but if i had to choose, i think i would go for the corsair, sine i never tried Kingston, and i have very good xp with corsair so far (RAM of 2 pc's and my current PSU are corsair, and didnt run into trouble so far)

Kingston used to be the "King" of RAM, before Corsair became famous. They still provide top-quality RAM, though not as much overclocking oriented anymore.
