Hi guys from the net. I have like a "problem" I want to upgrade my ram, I have a K8N Neo 2 Platinum edition mobo with a corsair 512 stick. I want to buy 2 gigs (i know about the problem with the slots) in 2 sticks, the problem is that I don't know what to choose, what you guys think is the best and the more compatible with my mobo? Corsair or Kingston?

I have found this ones:
http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Hype...9?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1173765175&sr=8-2

and

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...60039?_encoding=UTF8&m=A9B09ZK9BZJQ6&v=glance

Thanks guys. I really don't care about the money (will be a gift).

First off Welcome to the Computer Frorum! http://www.computerforum.com/70672-official-welcome-thread.html We remind everyone to review the http://www.computerforum.com/52038-forum-rules.html

Both brands and types of memory seen at the links are quality brands to start off with. Corsair has been one of the gamer's favorites for a good number of years now while Kingston memory is also a highly recommended brand by many board manufacturers. Both are oc capable. The price difference is the main factor to look at there. $179.99 for the Kingston Hyper X while the Corsair xms Platinum is seen for $249.99 makes the Kingston the better choice for unless you find a better deal for the Corsair somewhere else.

Both will work while I've seen better results with 2gb of Kingston on the Asus Socket 939 board here. You'll want 2gb if you plan on upgrading to Vista if you haven't already. If you are planning a new build sometime the cost factor is the thing to look at.

Oh that's awesome, thank you so much. I will buy the Kingston one, I haven't upgrade to Vista but I will soon, thank you so much for your help!
