Kingwin Power Supply's

They seem to have plenty of amps on the rails. But as to well they perform that's another matter there. When I see models for $25 as the normal price listed I usually have doubts. Someone who has worked with the brand there will have a better idea on whether to go with that make. Antec, Ultra, ThermalTake, OCZ, and a few others generally see the thumbs up sign.

Here's a few brands on the good and bad lists to look over.

Good and Great(Antec please!... quiet!)

Akasa Paxpower - AOpen - Channel Well - Cooler Master - Enermax - Enlight
- OCZ - PC Power & Cooling - Silverstone - Powerman - Zalman

For some "questionable"?

Allied - Aspire - Coolmax - Kingstar - L&C - Logisys - Raidmax - Star -Ultra

Kingwin didn't show up on the garbage list so you should be safe there. :P

Are the kingwin power supplys any good???
I wouldn't say they're bad, but overpriced for what you're getting.

just looked over the specs on a 520w and noted the max amps there. That's one good report so far.
The same one Ku-sama linked to? With +12V @ 27A, I don't think it deserves a $110+ pricetag.

Antecs are primarily made by Channelwell, who are quite rightly in your good list. The NeoHEs are Seasonics, who thoroughly deserve to be in the good list!

Yea I have a NeoHE and it's the lifeblood of my rig. I couldn't find anything bad to say.

Seasonics did make the "Good" list while a few others like Deer, Eye-T, Skyhawk, Star, and Turbolink ended up on the "Foobar" list headed for the recycle bin. :P

Well geeee... it's only a 600w not 520w with some higher amps on the rails for only $9 more. What could possibly be with that? :P

Nothing wrong with it per se, but i'm used to seeing a little more than +12V @ 30A on a $120 PSU. Since there aren't any standout features to make up for it, i'm inclined to say that there are better PSUs for the money.

Now you know that you are understating that one for sure. :D Between the two of us you think we can get them to look at some better makes like those in the "Good" list? :P
