KV switch?

i'm looking for a kvm switch without the v, or so i think. my current setup is a based on a LCD monitor that has DVI and analog in. i can manualy switch from DVI to analog form the OSD. thus i would only need a KM switch. i do not want to loose my DVI to my monitor. i have found some dvi kvm switches but they are $100+.

You should be able to find a2-port kvm (ps2 or usb / analog or DVI)

If I understand correctly, you could get the switch, a VGA to DVI cable, and a converter. My converter is only about 1cm long, so it shouldn't take up much room.

you loose digital quality when you goto analog

Ah. Well, I wouldn't know. My graphics card has DVI input, but the monitor has analog outputs, so I need a converter.

you mean your card has dvi output and your monitor has analog input
