Kvm or what?

Guys,

Need a little help here.
I got HP 2105 Monitor (DVI and VGA output).
Have Xbox 360 with VGA cable and Compaq Laptop with VGA input also.

O.K obviously the question here is....how do I connect both,so I can switch between them without any disconnections?
Now, I've already tried DVI-VGA converter (so I can use DVI to VGA laptop connection) - doesn't do any good.(no signal)
Already tried Belkin "Flip" VGA switch - doesn't do any good.(no signal)

I totally appreciate any suggestions to this case.
Need any additional details? Just ask.

Yeah, I'd think that a KVM switch should do the trick...

I've tried this Belkin Flip and it was completely useless
