i bought one of these a good few months ago and at first it didnt work ut after i reformatted my computer it now works fine. there is only one question i have and this is.
Are KVM switches harmful to your computer's?
the reason i ask is that everytime i go to change from one computer to another it makes the sound of when you take a usb pen out improperly. so could i be harming my computer using this? it sounds unhealthy.

Seriously, though, it's probably because it has an active connection to the mouse/keyboard and so is having that connection severed while using that... It would be harmful to data on a USB key, but not to a mouse or keyboard...
