Lag With New Monitor?

Well i have ordered a new Asus 22-inch VH226H HD monitor and another 2g of RAm etc. My current monitor is a 1280x1024 resolution and the monitor ive ordered is 1920x1080. My graphics card is a GTX 260 (216 cores) but i was wondering how much of a framerate drop ill get by using this monitor and whether the 1080p HD will also lag it?

What game are we talking about here? The GTX 260 is a really good card so it shouldn't have much trouble playing the majority of games out there. And 1080P HD video would not lag.
