Lame Photoshop Question

Ok i have a layered design i have been working on and i want to transfer the image to another canvas (one the size of an 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper). how can i doo this casue everytime i try it just seems to bring the selection over to the other canvas, and no image.

Alright, I am not good at photo shop at all, have used it very few times, but I think that if you shift select all of the layers in the layer menu,you could copy and paste them in the layer menu in the new canvas.

Link all the layers together first

make sure the image is unlocked from your original canvas.Press ctrl+t to see if its moveable.If it is just move it to the other canvas.If it cant be moved to the other canvas maybe the colour scheme is not the same.Probably it is in indexed color and not RGB try changing the colour scheme.

in photoshop go to "image" then "mode"..to change scheme..hope it works

No, don't do any copying or pasting.
On your project, not the new one you made to copy the image over, go to:

IMAGE>CANVAS SIZE.

Put the appropriate size you are looking for and your done.
