I keep reading that LAN Party's are dead. I have regularly been part of weekly LANs or weekend LANs with my friends and people I know. Now I'm here in a new state (Virginia) and luckily have a few friends here who came along that game. I am hosting a LAN this October 6th, 7th, and 8th. Any and all are welcome to attend and stay the weekend (floor, couch space only left). We will be playing FEAR Combat (its free www.joinfear.com), Company of Heroes, UT2004, C&C Zero Hour, Raven Shield, GRAW, Titan Quest, and maybe a few others. My opinion is yes online gaming through broadband is great. But interacting with real live people, making new friends, seeing new/different rigs is awesome. Sharing music/files/ideas is where it's it. Also there is the satisfaction of being upstairs and screaming "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" to the guys/team downstairs and hearing them grown only to get ganged up on and hear "SHAKE AND BAKE BABY" lmao. Well enough ranting as you are ALL invited to this LAN. If the notice is too short then contact me and we can plan another one farther in advance with more notice. So DONT LET LAN PARTYS DIE! They're much too fun and amusing.
PM me for directions, RSVP, and/or comments! Thanks
