LAN Problem...help out (error 6118)

ok, i have a problem somewhere in my LAN that will nor let my PC's connect with each other. when ever i open as command prompt, and type something like "Net View" in, it says "System error 6118 has occurred" no im not lazy, i did do some research to see if i could fix it. where i went said that there was a firewall on my PC, so i took it down. no luck. then i decided to be smart and try to "net view" from other computers in my house, they all say the same thing. so then i did more research and i saw something that said that the router(Linksys WRT54G) had its own firewall on. so i cut that off...and still nothing. anyone know how to fix it?

i didnt work on my Vista, XP(2), and even on my linux. i cant do anything over LAN]

so help please =]

Do you have ICS enabled on any computer? Are your workgroup names and domain names the same, if you that applies to you? Do you have the computer browser service enabled on at least one computer? If thoses don't help you may want to "tear down" yoru network and put it back together piece by piece to see were the problem lies.
