Are u using a Cross-over cable...or a router?

Or should I say what are you using to hook them together :P
 
cat5, cat5e, cat6 is different ratings for ethernet cable, it has nothing to do with being a crossover or striaght through.

A cross over switches the send receive pair for directly connecting 2 computers, while routers/hubs/switches make the switch internally
