My first LAN party I had to format my computer because I think the hdd was hooked wrong. The second LAN was great.
The third, I want to assure myself nothing will go wrong.

Any tips or anything?

Thanks.

What does certain LAN settings have to do with how a hard drive is connected??
That's what I'm trying to figure out. It doesn't make sense. Maybe you got a virus from one of your buddies or the cable got knocked off when you were moving stuff around.

It was a weird hard drive.
It had a sticker on it... In very small lyrics saying don't have both of them connected or something.
Its a Hitachi hard drive. That was in my Gateway computer.

Now it's even more confusing, you can have more then one hard drive in a system. But even if you couldn't, I dont see what that has to do with being connected to a different network.

I see how that can cause a problem, since they both can't be connected, but what does that have to do with being connected to a LAN?

yeah, im kinda confused too. are you saying you reformatted bc the computer wouldnt pick up a network connection?

Well the sticker said something like may cause problem without warning.
And I assumed the LAN was what triggered it.

Cause I couldn't connect to the LAN.
