Lap Top problem

My wife's Acer Aspire suddenly shut off.

The charger light flashes green when plugged in, but when unplugged stays green like it normally did.

I removed the battery and did the old "hold down the power button for 30 seconds" thing but it didn't work.

It wont work with the battery out and the power cable connected either, still get the flashing green charger light.

Any ideas?

So it's not powering up at all? I'm assuming that from what you've said but you only said it doesn't without the battery. At this point I'm thinking its probably a bad motherboard and there's probably not a whole lot that could be done. Try removing the things that are easily accessible (some RAM, wifi, HDD, ODD, etc) and see if there's any change.

Also, what's the specific model? That might help us figure out if there's any kind of known issue with them.

It's an Acer Aspire 5672.

You are correct, it won't power up at all, with or without the battery, with the charger plugged in or not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
