Laptop and tv resolution problem

Hello, the problem is that when I connect my laptop via HDMI to my 32" tv, which supports Full HD, the image on the tv doesn't show properly, to be more precise, a small part of all sides of the image on tv are not shown. The laptop is HP Probook 4530s and has Intel HD Graphics 3000 as well as AMD Radeon HD6490M, I have tried that on both graphics cards but the results is same. Laptop's resolution is set on maximum 1366x768. Is there a solution for that problem?

What you're seeing is quite normal. It's called overscan. Many TV's still implement this because movies are produced using this. To put it simply, the picture on old CRTs would fluxuate some depending on the brightness and what's on the screen. So you wouldn't get black boarders, the bezel would cover part of the screen. So there's a "save zone" video producers work within and...yeah, probably more than you needed/wanted to know :P

Now for your problem... My suggestion would be to see if the TV has any kinds of adjustments or specific PC inputs. My Samsung, for example, has one HDMI port that's also labeled DVI/PC. Using this one, it by default doesn't overscan the image and probably changes a few other things to compensate for the input.

If you can't go that route, some video drivers have options to shrink your outputted video. You'll loose a bit of quality, but it might be the only way to get it working correctly on the screen.
