Laptop Battery problem

I just bought a brand new hp tm2t and received it last week. I bought it with two batteries and since ive been using them the estimated time left is always wrong. On a full charge it says it only has 1:30 but I get way more time out of the battery. Closer to 4 hours on full brightness. I tested the battery with hps test software and it says the batteries are fine. I tried this guide on recalibrating the battery by letting it drain on a new power plan and then recharging. This has not helped though. I thought maybe it was a problem with windows so I installed a fresh copy of non hp windows. This has not helped either it says the same wrong time. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have the latest bios too.

do you check time when you first turn the laptop on or after 5 min or so???

if you've been checking right after you turn it on, yes the time is about right of an hour and half since at that time the laptop is using full resources of CPU, video card and HD, and also the fan that's cooling them thus showing more use of over all system and showing less time on battery.

however, after you turn it on after about 5 min, and you are only using it to check emails or office work, the resources of CPU and HD are ideal at best and graphic card is almost none so it'll give you longer battery life.

It starts at an 1:30 and then it will decrease from there so that every 2 percent on the battery is for 1 minute. So it will never be greater than 1:30. right now its at 69% battery and 56 mins left. I have been using it for probably 2 hours now. It does not matter what I am doing, whether i have the screen on full or minimum brightness or watching movies the time remaining does not change.

So the batterycare says 90% battery remaining and after a little bit it changed from 0 h remaining to 1h27 which matches windows wrong time remaing. The detailed information says

Design capacity: 62182mWh
Total Capacity : 62182mWh
Current Capacity: 55334mwh
Char/Disch rate : -38.3W
Tension : 12338mV
Wear 0%
Total Discharge Cycles: 0
Last Calibration: No Record
Calibrations Performed: 0

Any suggestions?

remove the battery and turn the laptop on without battery and after few min, turn off the laptop put the battery back and check again if not than, calibrate the battery, update the drivers (i know this is new laptop but still give it a try) other than that yes i do understand you being picky (like me) about laptop not showing regular hours, but since it's lasting longer it shouldn't be a problem as long as you take care of it. sorry i've had that happened, but the software took care of it so never tried to figure out what was wrong.

I will try the removing the battery thing, but I have updated all drivers and i calibrated a second time, this time in safe mode. What I have noticed about the battery information is that the discharge rate does not change. No matter what I am doing or what the screen brightness is, it stays the same. Now if you calculate the time remaining with the discharge rate its the exact same time that I get at full charge. So I think there is something wrong with the discharge rate being told to the computer. Is this the battery that does this or is it the motherboard that determines what the power usage?

I just tried turning it on without the battery and then back on but all that did when I turned on the laptop was say the time was 2 minutes left. It was not until I replugged and then unplugged the charger that I went back to the wrong time remaining that it usually says. I have hp sending me a new battery to see if that will fix the issue. I'm not too hopeful though. Any other suggestions?
