Laptop battery

should my laptop switch on without a battery in it and only outlet power?

its a fujitsu series s6010 its quite old.

well it does not hurt. they say it can improve the batteryes life if you keep it out but it does not help that much.

o sorry. compleatly read your first post wrong . no not all laptops will sometimes they need a full circuit to be powered on. some dont. if it does not there is nothing to worry about

im reasonably sure thebattery is fully dead. but dont know how to make sure without buying a newbattery? is there a way to make sure its the battery or something ?

how long does it take if you unplug the outlet until it dies?

it used to be about 20 minutes went down and now it dosent turn on at all

you could try freezing it. i have done it before works well. just freeze the battery for 2 days and then let it thaugh for 1 day.
