Laptop cannot connect to internet

Sony Vaio Laptop (model number VPCF136FX) will not connect to internet. There does not appear to be any driver issues. I can see the wireless networks, but cannot connect to them. Thanks.

What OS are you using? It's possible the wireless profile is all corrupted. What happens when you try connecting?

Thanks for the reply. Windows 7 Home Premium x64. When I use the Ethernet cable, nothing happens. When I try to connect to WiFi, it just tells me I'm not connected, but it also says that connections are available.
