Hey guys new to the forum, im gonna go ahead and say i know absolutely nothing about computers but i am really interested in learning, my question is, can the video card in my laptop be upgraded? it is a gateway md2614u i bought last April and it currently has an ATI radeon HD3200 graphics, if it is upgradeable what should i invest in for a good gaming card

Laptop cards are either impossible, or extremely difficult to replace. They are also very expensive.

If you would like to upgrade your laptop card your best bet will be to see if the manufacturer offers this. This would involve sending them the laptop and letting them do it.

Otherwise, you will have to find out the EXACT details about the port etc... of your current card, find out whether it is replaceable, then you'll probably need to scour websites such as ebay to see if anyone is selling cards that match.

As has been said... it's a no-go unfortunately.
If you want to get more 3D performance, you're going to have to buy a completely new laptop or better yet, build yerself a desktop :D

thanks after Christmas im going to have my brother in law build me a desktop i was kinda hoping i could find a cheaper route
