I am having trouble installing windows xp on my netbook and was wondering if there is any possible way to use my laptop cd drive for my netbook. This is one of my solutions i am trying cause installing xp from usb is not working for some reason.

Yup, just get yourself some kind of external optical drive. Or if you have a spare CD-ROM from a desktop, you can get one of these USB to IDE/SATA cables.

Thanks for the help, but i figured out away, i downloaded something called wintoflash, what it does is that it takes any windows cd that you put in a computer and places all the files on to a flashdrive and makes some minor configurations so it is able to boot from the flash drive. The process only takes about 5-15 minutes.

no you need a to actually have a windows bootable cd, not a payed version though, anything that has all the setup and ect. Does this awnser your question.
