Laptop charger issue

Recently when I start up my computer it says that the charger I'm using isn't suitable. Its the one I always have used, that came with it. I just hit F1 to ignore it. Then sometimes when charging the plug icon would disappear. I would wiggle the cord and it would come back. Now its not charging at all.


Just tried using my grandfathers charger, that didn't work either.

You have a bad power jack most likely, loose solder joint on the motherboard.

Yeah, pretty common issue on notebooks with an L shaped adapter. God knows how many laptops ive had to replace dc jacks on before.

I guess Im going to have to find where the soddering gun went.

I found a new battery for 60 bucks so I got it just incase it was that. If it isnt I am assuming that it will die soon anyway with all the use its gotten over the past 3 or so years.
