laptop crash, and a blinking blue light on my charger

just ago my laptop had an instant crash. usually whenever my laptop gets to hot or runs out of power it takes it time to shut down safely, but this time it shut down instantly. i cant start it up to. Everything i noticed is that the LED on my charger keeps blinking whenever i plugged it in. and if i remove the charger the light stays blue like it is supposed to. Since i have exams next week i need to know if it is really broken or not, and if so i need to get another computer immediately (My files are safe tough).

so far i have tried to start the laptop without the battery and this didn't work.
(as seen on the internet)i have unplugged the power cord and pressed the power button to drain its left power. after that i inserted the charger again to power it on but this didn't work to.
i cant check if my adapter is broken since i don't have the proper charger.

And already a big thanks for the help!

i forgot to tell my laptop ID that is: hp g72
i cant exactly tell which one it is but it has a Intel I3 dual core with hyper treading, 4GB DDR3 Ram a 500GB HDD and an ATI Radeon HD 5xxx GPU

the adapter im using is this one:
Trust 90W Plug&Go Laptop Charger

Well one issue that is a possibility is that you killed your laptop using a third party charger. You should always use a genuine manufacturer charger on your laptop.

Another possibility is that your current charger is bad. The only way you'll know is to get a hold of a proper HP charger for your laptop.

thanks for the help. but i found out that my computer died. The battery contains enough power to start but i cant start the laptop if i use it on battery power.
