Laptop Damaged - Need Help

Hey guys. My first time posting here so go easy >.<

Basically I am having a problem with my laptop which is preventing it from opening. Basically, the internal bit of metal ( I think it's the hinge) has just stopped swinging and is preventing the laptop from opening and will just shatter the case if i try to open it, which I obviously do not want ><

The hinge itself doesn't look warped or damaged.

Any ideas on a quick fix or am I going to have to fork out for this? =/

From as well as I can see it in your pictures, I don't think there is a really quick fix. Depending on how old the laptop is, and what money is involved I think buying a new system might be the way to go. sorry you had it happen. :-(
