Laptop Disconnects From Wifi Every Couple Hours, Reconnects After Router Restart

Hey Guys,

I have a Toshiba Satellite A355-s6935 laptop that runs Windows 8. It has developed a problem where it randomly loses connection to the internet and won't reconnect to the Wifi unless I reset the router. None of the other devices connected to this Wifi have this problem so I'm assuming there's a problem with the laptop. Any suggestions as to what I can do? (I've checked for driver updates for the wireless card and it is up to date.)

I would try to do a fresh install of the drivers. Uninstall the current ones and maybe try an older version. Work up and see if any break or fix the issue. How old is the laptop?
 
is it a static ip or a dynamic ip the laptop has
try to get it a static one or setup address reservation in the router config

i have found this helps i am not sure why
