Laptop / Ethernet

I'm going to be going to college next year and my college says that they have ethernet for their internet connection. I was wondering if i needed to have a chord and be plugged in all the time to use the internet or if there was a wireless ethernet card or something so i could use my laptop around campus. If anyone know that would be great! Thanks!

You'll have to talk to the university. Around here, they have both. In the dorms and all, I think they just have wired. However, more around the academic buildings, they have wireless with a few open ports for wired.

You can get a cord for next to nothing, and most all laptops come with both interfaces.
