Laptop Fan noise

Hi,
I have a Toshipa Satellite m55-S329 and the laptop isn't quiet when it runs. I could hear a fan running. My sisters who both have toshiba as well have quiet running laptops. What is wrong with my laptop? is it the CPU fan? How could i get this fixed and about how much would it cost?
 
get some compresed air, a air mask, and get to a open space and start blowing into the vent. if there is a patch where you can open your computer, open it and get to the fan and take it off. in other words, give your computer a spring cleaning. if that does not work, you may have to get a new fan. you can find one on e-bay most likely
 
i agree with brianmay27, you most likely need to clean the fan or replace it. as they get dusty they get a LOT louder, and they dont cool very well either
