Laptop fan/overheating problem

Hello,i have a problem with fan on laptop Dell Inspirion and its conected with high temperature. I will try to explain problem as good as i can (my english is not very good ).

Problem started while i was playing a game, i noticed that laptop is getting hot and it started to get laggy then whole laptop froze. I turned it off somehow. I though dust is causing problem but that wasnt possible cuz the laptop is clean. So after some time being turned off i turned it on and downloaded a program CoreTemp. Everything was fine. Temperature was below 40deg and i could hear fan sppining. Then i pushed laptop further,i started a game and observed temp,it went to about 60deg and fan speed increased ( i placed a paper near vent and it was moving so fan was doing its job ). When temp reached about 65deg fan stopped working and very soon temp was near 90deg. I exit game and after some time temp went down and after going below 65deg fan started working again.

I tested it few times...sometimes,when temp is falling, fan turns on and sometimes it doesnt. But when i shut down laptop, let it cool and turn on again fan is always working until it reach that "critical" 65deg temp.

What can be a reson of this strange fan behavior? Why does he stops working at point when he should start spinning even more?

Also i forget to mention...when it stops spinning,he is trying to move but looks like he doesnt have enough power to do so.

Sounds like you're pushing it to the limit, open it up and give it a good scrub assuming it's not brand new it's probably got years worth of dust and grit in it that's stopping the fan from performing its intended duties.
