Laptop for college next year??

Hi, so, I have a Toshiba Satellite A205-4777 (don't know any details other than that), and I want to buy a laptop for when I go to college next year. I've had some serious problems with this computer, and really want to try something different, which is why I'm thinking of getting a Macbook Pro (preferably 15"). My current computer crashes constantly (when I'm only watching a video), is missing the 'Q', which broke off when I dropped my homework on it, and completely shut down a few months ago and needed to be taken to an IT for fixing. Do you guys have any suggestions for a different laptop or know if getting a Macbook Pro is good for college, etc. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I have the 13" Macbook Pro (2.53Ghz) before I went to Tech and couldn't be more pleased with it. If you're going to be gaming, either get the 15" with the 9600GT or build yourself a desktop. I find that 13" is right around the perfect size--you're going to be carrying it around everywhere.

I'd suggest holding out, though. The Macbook Pros haven't been updated in a while, and hopefully next revision will bring the iX line of processors--maybe the i3, maybe better! Also, while the 9600GT isn't a bad graphics card, it definitely isn't the best. I'd wait it out and see what next year brings.
