Looking for opinions. I'm not going to spend alot as she only plays games on the net. I know they are older but will work for her needs. Just like to know which of these two you fine people would choose over the other. Acer Travelmate 6000 or Acer Aspire 1640z Thanks for all responses.

It really depends on the specs (hardware) that the computer has. I Google'd the above mentioned laptops and found a variety of hardware available. Do you have links to the actual laptops you are considering?

whats wrong with Acer? The one that I just bought has better build quality than any of the Dell, HP, Toshiba, and Emachines that I looked at in its price range. It also did not have the warp tendancy that most of the others had (The tendancy when rested on one corner and held by the corner across and inverse to it, to twist. Its a measure of the structural stability and rigitity of the brand and model.)

i have 2 acer notebooks and never had problem with them !
Acer Aspire 1640 is better then TM 6000

also as Dell> alianware , HP > Voodoo Envy . gateway also is subbrand of acer (as i know)
