laptop graphics card

My graphic card for my laptop is - NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100 - i was wondering if this was a good one. i cant use screensavers and play old games such as the sims and rise of nations. i was wondering if there is anything i can do update it using special software or something like that??? thanks for your help.

no you cant, you cant update the graphics card without buying a new laptop with a better one

if this is a good graphics card then why cant i even have screen savers?? it says something about it not being compatible with Direct 3D....??? what does this mean??
 
You could try updating the drivers, usually the generic drivers that come with windows don't support any DX features and they may be active for any reason, maybe the old one got corruped or something...
 
where i could i update my driver, i tried the nvidia website but i am not sure on what series it is, and what is this thing- Direct3D???
 
i tried the update but no luck, it says that my video card is not compatible with Direct3D, how can i make it compatible?
 
Get a Desktop than a laptop mate. They are better and easier to upgrade. Ill use a Laptop for work but thats juts about it.
 
Yeah those will be great but I read somewhere that those won't be using usb it will be a wierd plug that not many laptops come with.
 
it should be able to work, come on if my gma can play sims 2 then your one can. just reinstalling direct x and the drivers
 
ok, ok, something has happened, i just installed age of emipires 3 but it wont work, i played this game ages ago on this laptop and it worked then, why not now, any ideas?
