Laptop Hard Drive Help

My hard drive broke in my laptop and I'm not sure what hard drive's are compatible with it. It is a Gateway MX6441 which had a Toshiba MK8025GAS in it. I found that it is an ATA-100 but I'm not sure if there is any other spec's that have to match for it to fit into the laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Looking for something that's atleast equivalent, around $40-50.

Thanks!
Dan

Yes, it could just be a software issue and would not require a hard disk replacement. But if you really have to, just make sure it is a 2.5" disk with an ATA interface, the drive capacity is up for you to decide depending on your storage requirements.
