i was just wondering if anyone can help me out with finding a decent laptop. things that i would use it for are surfing the web, music, watching some movies, DVD burning, CD burning, and to play a few games such as call of duty world at war, red orchestra, battle field, and some of the older call of duty. my sister just got a new laptop and i like it a lot i was just wondering if it would work for what i wanna do. it is a Toshiba t3200 with 3.0ghz 250 gb hard drive, 3 gb ram. http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10113325&catid=

so basically i am just wondering what a good laptop would be for that kind of stuff i really don't want to spend over 1000 if that helps out a bit thanks.

so what if i were to change it to a dedicated graphics card is that possible with the Toshiba t3200

Q. what ghz should should it be around is 2.0 to low
Q. how much ram
Q. what video card should i look for
Q. what other things should i look for in a laptop

you cant. i bet some people will be able to, but its very hard. and i dont think it can be done.

2.00 ghz is not to low. you should not get anything below that though. but as allows the bigger the better :)

2 gigs at least. now mostly all laptops are starting to come with 3 gigs. and if thats not enough you can upgrade....

like i said before a dedicated one. some of the latest ones are the nvidia 9600M ones

well if you want to talk to people you might want to get an integrated webcam. and then it really depends on what you need. some people want a 17" while for some other people that is too big and want a 15.4" screen.
