I am working on an Acer Travelmate 2480 laptop for a customer and they have dropped it and now nothing is working. I tested the hard drive, it works. So, i was assuming that it was the motherboard, bc it was not receiving power from battery or ac adapter. Could this be the motherboard?? Or how would i test the ac power and battery to make sure they are functional?? PLEASE RESPOND!

If the laptop was dropped, you might as well kiss it goodbye. Most likely the lcd screen is gonna be bad as well. It's cheaper to go out and buy a new laptop. If the owner has a tendency to drop things then he may want to look into getting accidental coverage insurance on it.
