Laptop Hinge Problem

I have a Sony VAIO VGN-FW290. I only use it about once a week. However, the hinges have gradually become more and more loose.

As you can see, the left side where the power adapter plugs in is incredibly loose. I'm worried it's just going to snap off. I have contacted Sony, but they don't seem to care. I thought this came with a 1 year warranty but .. apparently not.

Any idea on things I could do to fix this? I mean.. I know it's obscure, but it's a serious issue. I'd like not to resort to super glue.

Any thoughts or information are appreciated

Thank you, Jeremy

Well, of course you could glue it, but that's a poor solution to this problem, because it might cause you trouble if you ever had to get into that area to replace the screen or anything like that. Can you see where the hinge piece was originally connected, and can you see why it no longer connects there. My guess is that if nothing on the piece is physically broken or worn away, it should snap back into place with a little pressure, or there is some screw on the bottom side that has fallen out.
