Laptop install windows ahhh

Okay, so my cousin's laptop just went blue screen of death on me so i reinstalled windows and like, When i reinstalled it it doesn't have like the wireless internet connection or the power options anymore, I need to know how to disable these or I have to have it plugged in and I have to keep it hooked in the Ethernet port too, So could someone please help me, I've installed like 2 different wireless drivers and nothing really happens, It won't even recognize the hardware, only the eithernet port.

What brand and model of laptop? And does it have built in wireless or is it an adapter card?

It's a compaq nc6000 from hp,
It has built in wireless yes

What do you have left in device manager that needs a driver installed?

Go here and download the first driver on the page for the wireless.

Look for any other drivers you may need to download and install too.
