laptop keeps crashing when running game

Hi there. I was recently given a laptop without a hard drive, and I bought a hard drive and installed windows vista. I did everything on it as usual, even played some video games like Bioshock 2 (it could only do lowest settings but it worked). Then I sold it to a friend and he couldn't get flash player working, apparently flash player doesn't support windows vista 64-bit. So I upgraded to windows 7, and now everything works except when he plays soldiers inc. (a facebook game) it keeps crashing. I'm wondering maybe it's the video card overheating? I installed speedfan and the motherboard and CPU are not overheating as far as I know. What could possibly be the problem?

Does it bluescreen? Flash player will work on Vista. Did you install the latest driver for the video?

I think that vista had a problem with install because some install files just wouldn't open. Anyways, no blue screen just automatic shut down. Yes I did put the latest video drivers on it.
